Wedding DJ at The Old Hall: Beth & Tom

“Wedding season” is now in full swing, and last night saw me out on a Thursday of all nights for the wedding reception of Beth and Tom at Old Hall in Ely (one of my most visited venues).

It was an awesome night!

Beth and Tom had allowed their guests to request tracks to be played during the evening via their wedding invitations. The range of music was very varied from light pop to rock and everything in between. Because the guests had input into the music though, they danced….a lot!

It was brilliant as each track started to hear a guest somewhere on the dance floor say “ooh – that one’s mine!”.

Sadly, the midnight cut-off came around far too soon. We re-played the first dance track of Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol and everyone rejoined Beth and Tom on the dance floor. This was followed with another one of the guest requests – Time of my Life from Dirty Dancing which always sees at least a couple of guests trying to re-enact the famous jump and lift scene….last night was no exception.

All in all it was a really good night with lots of action on the dance floor and some old favourites played which I haven’t used for a very long time.

All the best for a very long and happy future together Beth and Tom
