Wedding DJ at Bedingham’s Farm Wedding Venue: Emily & Kane
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I LOVE working at Bedingham’s Farm wedding venue. The weddings hosted there tend to be more relaxed and informal, and suit my style to a tee!
This was the second wedding in two weeks for me at Bedingham’s, and Emily & Kane had asked me to host the afternoon as well as provide the evening’s entertainment.
It was the hottest day of the year so far, and the team at Bedingham’s were doing everything they could to keep the barn cool.
When I’m hosting, I first bring the happy couple into the venue for a Grand Entrance. Guests stand, clap, cheer and wave napkins as the newlyweds are led to their seats at the top table. Stevie Wonder’s Signed, Sealed, Delivered is always a popular choice for this.
It’s then time to start “releasing” tables for food. Basically, guests were asked a table at a time to go to the hog roast to avoid absolute chaos and huge crowds. I also use this time to have a bit of a laugh with the guests that are waiting patiently to eat.
Eating done, speeches introduced and finished, there was a little downtime before evening guests arrived. Luckily Emily and Kane had planned for a relaxed and informal reception so timelines weren’t really an issue.
Eventually, we’re into the first dance and we’re off and running. Despite the heat, they kept coming for more! I was a very happy DJ!
