I’m often asked exactly what I do for Children’s parties and how I work.
So, for those that have never booked such a party before or (heaven forfend!) have never been to one of my parties….here’s an idea.
Party Disco
First and foremost, I’m a DJ which means I provide mobile disco entertainment. I specialise in both weddings and children’s parties (two very different disciplines!).
However under the bonnet, the concept is the same. I play music for people to dance to!
What I also do is bring along a full sized mobile disco setup to the party so the children can have the experience of being at a proper disco!
Children's Party Music
Now this is the part of my job dear reader, where I have to be on the ball and know what music’s in my collection. Or more importantly….what the lyrics are!
For a children’s party I’ll only EVER play child friendly music (also known as radio edits). The thought of deliberately playing a song with something like the “f-bomb” in it isn’t somewhere I want to go.
And of course, it’s not just the grown up chart stuff either. I’m also able to play the Disney hits and many other genres suitable for a children’s party.
And all of this at sensible volumes so as not to damage their still developing hearing!
Children's DJ
Children’s DJ is a skillset a lot of DJ’s don’t possess! Whilst they may claim to be able to entertain, a lot of others will stand in the corner for a couple of hours, play loud music and go home.
I actually prefer to call myself a Children’s Entertainer, because that’s what I do!
I’ll talk and interact with them, I’ll play age-friendly games with them, I’ll act the fool, oh and of course I’ll play the songs they want to dance to.
How much is a DJ for a Children's birthday party?
Unlike most, I don’t hide my costs or add hidden extras.
My prices are below and are valid for all children’s parties in the Cambridgeshire area (and just over the borders of Norfolk & Suffolk)
