Amy & Dan’s wedding was one I’d been looking forward to for a while, and it really didn’t disappoint.
As the nights draw in and the temperature starts to fall, it’s time to move away from marquee and tipi weddings in the middle of fields and back into brick buildings.
The location for Amy & Dan’s big day? Slepe Hall Hotel just down the road from me in St Ives.
I first met Amy a couple of years ago when I provided the disco for her 21st birthday party, so it was nice to get the call to provide a repeat performance for the biggest day of her life.
Sadly we didn’t get to meet up before the big day (it sometimes goes that way), so everything from my side of things was planned with the help of emails and my online planning tools.
And what a party it turned out to be!
Whilst you may see the text on my home page saying I don’t tend to play “action dances” (unless I’m asked to), Amy had plenty of such songs on her playlist.
That’s really not a problem. Sometimes those are exactly the types of song you and your guests want to hear and so long as you’re happy to hear them, I’ll happily play them.
I was blessed with a full dance floor throughout the Macarena, The Cha Cha Slide and many more. And I must have done my job right on the night, because a couple of days later I had this review pop into my inbox
