I love a village wedding, and Nikki & Ben’s evening reception didn’t disappoint!
They did the deed in the same church as myself and my dear long suffering wife did 24 years ago. It’s always nice to be involved in a local village wedding like this.
The venue for the afternoon and evening receptions was Witchford Village Hall, a venue I’m more than well acquainted with and having undergone a lot of modernisation work over recent months, it now looks stunning on the inside!
I’d previously been sent a list of songs Nikki and Ben would like played during the evening, but with the caveat that I could also take guest requests AND do my own thing.
I was a little worried about how this one would go. The wedding was an early one at 1pm, and guests had been at the reception venue since 2pm. It was also a warm day and there’s now a nice patio area outside.
I needn’t have fretted. First dance done and dusted (A Moment Like This by Leona Lewis) and we were off and running, interrupted only by the cake cut and evening buffet.
I must have done my job right because a couple of days later, a positive review appeared on TrustIndex from Nikki
